| ABOUT GOPS / FACILITIES | |
FacilitiesThe school is set in the quiet suburb of Myrtle Bank just off Glen Osmond Road. Most of the school is set well back from the road with only the historic main building, constructed primarily of bluestone, visible from Fisher Street. This building housed the original school which commenced 125 years ago. The grounds consist of a grassed oval, tennis/netball court, basketball court, 2 hard play areas of limited size, several areas of garden and 3 sets of playground equipment. An excellent resource centre is located at the front of the school in a building which also contains our ICT Centre, and adjoins the front office area. Our middle primary, years 3-5 classes are located in a building between the front office building and the junior primary area. The southern building which houses the Junior Primary students contains 5 classrooms, a large porch/activity area and a store room. An Activity Hall, with facilities for physical education and sport, is used for whole school assemblies, drama and movement. A climbing wall, ropes, basketball court and many other facilities are available here. The canteen is also located in this building. There are 2 other buildings – the French room which is also used for Italian after school, and an open plan double-sized classroom with a stage and kitchen presently used for music and art. An historic solid stone coach house is used for Out of School Hours Care. |
