Governing Council

Governing Council’s objective is to involve the school community in the governance of the school to strengthen and support public education in the community. To do this Governing Council has a range of functions which include setting the broad direction and vision of the school, strategic planning, monitoring and reviewing its plans, determining some school policies, budgeting, and ensuring that the educational needs of the community are understood and met.

Much of the work of Council is undertaken by its committees that report and bring recommendations to Council for approval. Parents with an interest in any of these committees are welcome to join them whether they are members of Council or not.

All Governing Council meetings are open to the school parent community. Council meets in Weeks 3 and 7 of each term. Resource Centre. 7PM
